Hand & Arm Veins

Veins on the back of the hands or forearms often become more pronounced over the years. In some people, they eventually become very tortuous and unsightly, causing embarrassment. These veins are not strictly varicose veins, but it is nevertheless possible to eradicate them.

This eradication technique has been refined by the Baskerville Clinic (formerly the Vascular and Vein Unit) over the years to allow clearance of veins from the fingers, back of the hands and forearms. The procedure is surprisingly pain free although there is usually some bruising. This usually resolves within 10 days. Occasionally new veins can appear but treatment can be repeated if necessary.
